Italian Cheese and Wine Pairing at Terra del Capo Voucher

Activity Description

Indulge the senses with a delectable Italian Cheese and Wine Tasting at the Terra del Capo Tasting Room. This interactive, fun and educational tasting is presented by one of the Tasting Room assistants, who will take you through the cheese tasting, sharing information about how the cheeses have been made and their places of origin.

The fine cheese selection comprises both local and imported artisanal cheese, made in true Italian style. They range from mild to strong and creamy to grainy, and include well-known cheeses such as Smoked Mozzarella, aged Fontina, and Gorgonzola.

Wine from the food friendly Terra del Capo range accompanies the cheese tasting to create an authentic Italian taste experience.

Customer Reviews

Magnificent wine estate with beautiful views. Great service with a wonderful cheese & wine tasting. I'll be back! - Kerry van Schalkwyk

The service was impeccable from the moment we walked in, from the welcoming downstairs right to the tasting upstairs. I would definitely recommend this tasting to anyone who is thinking of doing it. - Khanyisa Monqo

We visited as a group of 6 people as we were showing our friends around parts of South Africa on a brief 10 day trip to give them a taster of the country as we have been quite a few times before . We have previously visited just the motor museum. We made this day out our last day before returning to Cape Town for an evening flight back to the UK So to make it special for our friends we booked the museum, followed by a vintage car ride to the wine tasting ( a short drive round part of the wine estate-and our friend who loves Alfa Romeo’s had a short ride in an 1965 model-the year he was born) If you love cars you most definitely should come and visit the museum where they are always changing the cars on display. We are fairly regular visitors to Le Mans 24 hour racing ,Goodwood ( local to us) and various Grand Prix races so love to see the different cars on display. After the museum we had coffee on the terrace and then we had our vintage car drive to the wine tasting. We had previously arranged to do a selected wine and cheese pairing at Terra del Capo ( something different after our previous day on the Wine Tram ). Here we were welcomed with a glass of bubbly and taken to a lovely room that was beautifully laid out for us in the upstairs part of the building to taste a selection of wines with cheeses. From there we had lunch in the “Italian Deli Restaurant “ downstairs ,which was delicious, we definitely ordered too much food but did our best to eat it all encouraged by the lovely friendly staff, After a relaxing time here we were led onto the tram bus and taken back to the entrance of the museum to meet our lovely driver,Malick ,who had looked after us during our 10 day trip in Cape Town and the wine lands ,and then he took us to the airport for our homeward journey- a perfect day out to end our lovely holiday. Many thanks to all the lovely staff that day and to Magdalene Wepener who helped us to make our bookings and organise our day with the many emails we had sent previously. Thoroughly recommend you have alook online at the Franschhoek motor museum website/ L’Ormarins/www.rupertwines- there is lots to see and do for all interest. Michelle Edwards - Michelle Edwards

We thoroughly enjoyed our tasting with cheeses. The young lady was knowledgable and very pleasant. Wines were good and we even carried some home to Jamaica with us. Highly recommend a day at this estate. We did the Museum, vintage car drive and a tasting. Would have done tea but fully booked. - Christine English
